Bill LaRock
Bill LaRock graduated from Claremont Men's College (now Claremont McKenna College) in 1964. He then spent 3-1/2 years as a computer programmer with Financial Programs (a mutual fund organization subsequently purchased by Invesco) before joining the Colorado Air National Guard in late 1967. In early 1968, his unit was activated and he was sent to Korea for a year. Upon returning in 1969, he joined two former colleagues from Financial Programs who had moved to Founders, another investment management firm in Denver. He spent nearly ten years there, becoming a portfolio manager and a vice president before leaving to join his brother in the family business (building materials) for ten years. He subsequently joined Berger Associates, another money management firm here in Denver, before again joining his brother in the building materials business at BMC West from which he retired in 2006.
Bill and his lovely wife, Pat, are members of Valley View Christian Church where they are greeters between the second and third services. Both attend BSF; this is Bill's fourth year while Pat has attended for many years. Bill volunteers on Tuesday mornings at the church for three hours with several other "older" men who work on repair and maintenance projects at the church.
Bill has a daughter and a son and two grandchildren while Pat has four daughters and seven grandchildren. All keep Bill and Pat pleasantly occupied.
Bill is looking forward to working with the talented group of people at Love INC and desires to be of service in whatever capacity Jesus calls him to serve the needs of others.
