Cynthia Dekker
Cynthia Dekker has been a System Safety Engineer for Lockheed Martin for over 33 years. She is a Colorado native and an Army brat, having lived Germany, Alaska, and California. She has a B.S. from the Colorado School of Mines and an M.S. in Systems Management from the University of Southern California.
Cynthia has been married for 28 years to Jack and has two children — Evan, 23 and Lauren, 21, and a special cat, Duncan. Cynthia and Jack are charter members of Genesis Presbyterian Church since April 1986. During that time, Cynthia has served as an Elder of Finance and two terms as a Deacon, serving two of the six years as Moderator. She has also volunteered as a mentor for Haven’s Hope. She has worked on grant writing for Haven’s Hope.
Cynthia comes to the Love, INC board after volunteering to write grants and is excited about the many possibilities for the organization. She believes in the power of God to use ordinary people to change the world, just like knitting, one stitch at a time, one row at a time, one piece at a time.
