Rev. Doug McKinney, Executive Director
Love INC of Littleton
The Love INC of Littleton Board of Directors is pleased to announce the hiring of Rev. Doug McKinney as the first Executive Director of Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC) of Littleton.
Chosen from a field of 58 applicants for the position, Rev. McKinney brings over 30 years of experience in ministry -- including successful nonprofit leadership. Key competencies include a proven track record in strategic planning, staff supervision, adult education, facilities expansion, fundraising and public speaking.
He has helped recruit, train and place volunteers and has spoken to audiences in the classroom, in the auditorium, and on television. Most recently, under Doug's leadership, ministry programs have flourished -- including an increase in community giving to $100K annually (up from $25K).
With post-graduate degrees in Adult Education/Human Resource Development and Community Education -- as well as coursework in public administration, entrepreneur and business administration, theology and urban planning -- Rev. McKinney brings a solid educational foundation to the Love INC ministry.
An ordained Deacon, Doug also has a strong faith base and a call to service in the community. A Wichita native, he has served in faith communities in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Florida and Colorado. He has a passion for developing people and a proven, successful record to being able to inspire and motivate. He says, "Developing people IS my passion!"
In an article to his worship community in April, Rev. McKinney said he was "wrestling with a deacon's call to bridge the church and the world" and he sensed a clear call from God to take action. Less than three months later -- that call and journey have led him to Love INC of Littleton! Doug looks forward to opening the first Love INC of Littleton Clearinghouse and has already been hard at work planning for this wonderful day!
Doug and his wife Lynette, a music teacher, have two grown sons who are involved in mission work. For the past 10 years, they have made Colorado their home. Doug enjoys outdoor activities -- especially camping and skiing -- and is a volunteer ski instructor with the "National Sports Center for the Disabled".
